One of the primary tenants of the Ad Club of Hampton Roads mission is education. Members of the education committee focus on educating college students and other advertising professionals on the benefits of Ad Club Membership.
We are proud to announce that we will again be offering a $2,500 scholarship at the high school level and we will also be accepting student Addy entries.
2007 Rising Star Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements: Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a Virginia Beach City High School. They should have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and should be actively applying to universities and colleges. Applicants may not be employed full or part time with a marketing agency or firm. Applicants should not be affiliated with any media source (i.e. agencies, ad sales, or creative production). Any work developed for paying clients may not be used in this campaign.
The Challenge: Students are asked to review the AD Club of Hampton Roads, research the organization, and create materials that AD Club can use to further their organization. Students will need to submit a proposal along with all creative materials outlining the campaign and how they would see it implemented, as well as budget recommendations.
